DR. JASON BURKE, LEADING HANGOVER SPECIALIST
Dr. Jason Burke is the first physician in the United States to formally dedicate his career to the study and treatment of veisalgia, the medical term for the common hangover. He has treated more hangovers than any other doctor in the world and he is widely known as the world’s first Hangover Specialist.
Dr. Burke is a board-certified anesthesiologist with over nineteen years of extensive OR and ICU experience. Dr. Burke developed Hangover Heaven IV Hydration’s treatments based on his own research and real-life experience in treating patients during and after surgery. He recognized that the treatment of symptoms felt immediately after surgery (headache, nausea, etc.) could be applied to treating other common ailments.
Here is Dr. Burke’s philosophy on hangovers:
“Should we have to lose an entire day of our vacation because we accidentally drank too much the night before? I say NO. I have had quite a few bad hangovers in my lifetime and I decided I wasn’t going to take it lying down (with a pounding headache) anymore. Dr. Burke is originally from Charlotte, NC and has lived in Las Vegas for fourteen years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Classical Studies (ancient Greece and Rome) at the University of North Carolina and then went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at UNC as well. After this, he traveled seven long miles down the road to Duke University, where he completed a four-year residency in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Burke is currently working on various research projects focused on how medical intervention can end hangovers as the world knows them today. Dr. Burke also regularly contributes his expertise about important issues related to hangovers and alcohol issues to Hangover Heaven’s blog.
